Leading Change Today
Thandiwe Development Organisation (TDO) creates opportunities for children, young people and vulnerable communities through education, talent development, youth empowerment, health and social support.
A child discovers confidence through ballroom dancing. Another discovers strategic thinking through chess. Another improves their future through STEM support. These are not separate programmes. They are pathways to a better future.
One Community. Many Pathways.

Our Programmes
Helping learners perform better and access additional educational opportunities, including STEM support, matric rewrite and academic tutoring.
Using ballroom dancing, chess, music and creative activities to discover and develop confidence, discipline and talent.
Preparing young people for employment, further education and adulthood through job readiness, mentorship and career guidance.
Supporting vulnerable families through food security, health awareness and practical community initiatives.
Connecting young people and communities to the opportunities that can change the trajectory of their lives.
But potential requires opportunity. Thandiwe exists to create those opportunities.

The Thandiwe Pathway
Why Thandiwe
We create opportunities for children, young people and vulnerable families to learn, discover their potential and build better futures. Not through once-off help, but by walking alongside people at every stage of their journey.
Stories From the Community
After finishing school I had no direction. Through Thandiwe's youth programme I built a CV, practised interviews and found the confidence to apply for work. For the first time, I could see a future for myself.
News & Events
Learners from our partner schools take to the floor in Thandiwe's signature annual event, celebrating confidence, discipline and talent. Registration details and dates to be confirmed.
